think art

the rat race has deprived us of the capacity to enjoy the beauty of nature and the artistry of human life. Why can't we spare a few minutes to stop our racing thoughts of our work schedule and life's competition and admire the beauty of a tree that stands silently beside our house.
The tree is the first and foremost of nature's creation and can never fail to intrigue man.
I cannot understand the rationale of this shopkeeper in Jalan Tebrau in the Johor Baru city centre who took the law into his own hands to trim clean several trees facing his shop that were planted and maintained by the city council. The shopkeeper's reasoning was that the trees were blocking the Feng Shui from his shop.
Although there is the danger of trees being uprooted during thunderstorms and falling on trees or other property even that is not reason enough to do away with trees.
I think everyone should start thinking of all the reasons why they should preserve a tree.

With the issue of Global Warming creating heat waves around the world, it is crucial that all trees, and even the smaller trees are protected like our children.

Dear sister Anna, what a blessing is having your thoughts laid out on the internet. You bring such innocence to grand issues that it makes us really stop and think about what we are doing to our planet. Yes, the tree is a spectacle in itself. The organism and its perfection leads our mind to the general equilibrium of life, which a thunderstorm called humanity insists on breaking. With our overall economic development, natural blessings have become natural resources, manageable in whatever way we want, like the attitude of that japanese shopkeeper. I agree with Sean on the issue of global warming, but that cannot be the only issue: it´s a starting point, a sympton of nature calling us to action. Let us start with not cutting a tree. My love to you, Anna. André
